Pink Balloons For Baby Riley!
I love cupcakes. Especially the ones with pink frosting and a confetti interior. I literally grubbed on them during the baby shower. The sun was shining and people smiled from ear to ear each one full of joy. The food was fantastic and the games were so much fun! Despite the fact that I lost every single one to my mom. She is apparently the baby shower game guru and it is super annoying.
We played this game that I believe was called "the baby game", shocker. Basically you are given a necklace upon entering the party, and you are not allowed to say the word "bay". I am possibly the slowest person on earth, and lost my necklace 4 times. I kept getting more because I'm tight with the girl who had the necklaces. But even with all of the cheats I still lost It was downright depressing. The next game was a guessing game. They put a handful of baby supplies on a table and asked us to guess the amount paid and the amount per item. I lost that one from the start when I assumed a small pack of baby wipes was $12.99. I honestly learned a lot of new things from this party.
Overall I had a wonderful time but what I specifically wanted to talk to you about in this post is my last minute outfit selection. I wore this dress just two days prior to work and pick it up off the floor to wear to the shower. I know I'm dirty, but looking past that I was quite impressed that there were no stains on it and that I could recycle it at such a perfect event. The dress is from Nordstrom BP, and is a perfect dress to add color and style to your wardrobe. I love Nordstrom BP because there are so many options that are so simple to throw on which is what I need in my crazy hectic life. With this dress I wore a gold gladiator sandal that I stole from my mom. Just to coordinate with my gold accessories!
It's already about to be August and I am devastated that the summer is almost over. It has flown by, but it's days like these that I love the most. Family coming together having a great time taking photos and making memories. There is nothing better.
