6 Trends To Try This Month
Honestly I am not really sure what has been going on with the weather in Boston. One day you wake up and it is literally frigid outside, and the next the sun is beating so hardcore you can barely keep your clothes on. Its times like these that I am grateful for my transitioning closet. I never really buy things that can't be worn in some way every season. If I cannot get a full years use out of an item, I don't buy it. Simple as that.
This has helped me develop my personal style more and more. And not just that, but it has really helped me pinpoint on my favorite fashion pieces. I have learned that I am a bit minimal, and I am OK with that. I focus more on key pieces, like a pair of boots to tie the whole look together, or a random pop of color. I also LOVE jackets, and accenting accessories to add just enough oomph to an outfit. With that said, there are a few trends floating through the streets because of the new season and I think we should all pay very close attention. Here are some of my favorites...
I am definitely on my way to buy myself some new boots for the Fall. I think it is imperative to have at least one short and one long pair every year. Personally this year I am going to go for the thigh highs in all black. They have been calling my name. No joke. I also want to get myself a pair of Timberland's and potentially a short bootie. Just ideas. I will obviously let you guys know what I get to stock up!
But here are some of my favorites...
THE WHITE BUTTON DOWN
I am looking for an oversized white button down that I can wear under sweaters. I absolutely LOVE this look. You can rock this sweater shirt combo with just about any bottom and absolutely kill it. I will probably grab one from a men's section either at PRIMARK or H&M.
ALL BLACK ERRTHANG
I am currently wearing all black. Because this is what I wear when I am the most confident. I am not sure what it is, but black is my color. It is also hands down my favorite thing to wear. Lets say you are in bed panicking about what you will put on to leave the house in time. My go to is a pair of black Nike free runs, leggings, a black bralette and literally any black tee i can find. Period. You slay.
A turtleneck is so simple and it makes an outfit look so chic. No matter what it is paired with. Everyone needs at least one in their fall wardrobe. And if you are like me, and don't like buying things you cant wear all year - just get a mid neck top. They can be worn both in the warmer temps and the colder temps and look acceptable. Or just rock your turtleneck and kill it, up to you.
I am obsessed with them & PRIMARK sells every neutral in a suede material for $3 each. Get hip.
I am looking for a blazer to complete me. I honestly have not looked at a blazer since I graduated from high school - I had a dress code and wearing pants meant a blazer had to be present (which is a joke). But now that I am an adult and can actually dress myself I am feeling like I need to invest in one. Simply for style purposes. I am really digging how they look oversized.
Thanks so much for reading :)
