LA | 2019

As of yesterday I have been in LA a month! And if I am being dead honest, I love it so much. It’s obviously different and an entirely new place, but it is also bright and full of so many new opportunities. Since I touched down I have been staying with family and learning the way of life over here. Everyday I have been in awe of the trees and the sun, I swear palm trees make me smile every time I see one. They remind me of where I am and serve as a constant symbolic reminder of my growth.

I’ve been working a little more than anticipated which has really put a fork in my adventuring, but I have had a chance to explore a little bit. As soon as I landed my cousin Toot picked me up and drove me through the entire scene pointing out areas and giving me facts. At this point I have a general understanding of the layout which blows my actual mind because anyone who knows me in real life knows I have NO sense of direction. It’s so sad. I am actively learning to be better at this, and honestly I am doing a damn good job. I haven’t been lost anywhere yet! I’ve also been such a tourist lately - I decided to make you guys a little slideshow...you should all pack your bags now honestly. Also DISCLOSURE these are all pictures of palm trees and sunshine. Sorry not sorry ✨

What I can say is that my heart aches daily for my family and friends. Coming from Boston where I was born and raised, I had created myself a family and a network. What I miss most here are the genuine connections that I was blessed with back home. If I had one wish in this world it would be to move everyone across country. I personally believe that the quality of living is just better here. Sun on your face everyday hits a little different. And so does the buzz of opportunity, it’s motivating AF! I’ve been working to really get to the root of what I love to do and why. I’ve been considering new jobs and trying to rework my general “plan”. I’m coasting at this moment and hoping to get mixed into the fashion and modeling world just as swiftly as I left it in Boston. My goal is to pursue my personal styling through thrift and pushing sustainable wardrobing. Stay tuned ♥️
